Plan Definitions

Storage

Expressed as Megabytes (Mb) on a server hard disk, this is where your website pages, images and basically your Domain Name will take up residence. The number of pages, images and databases determines what your business will require in the way of storage space. Whether you have a small business and want to host just a single page site or you have a multi-page e-commerce site, we have the correct package for your business.

Traffic

Traffic is also referred to in the industry as Transfer Rate or Bandwidth. Expressed in Megabytes (Mb) or Gigabytes (Gb) It is basically the page and its contents being transferred to a users computer when they visit your site. This will increase as the number of new visitors to your site increases as well as with the number of images and their size that you have in your pages. If you have a great number of large images, or expect to have a large number of visitors, your will need more Bandwidth.

E-mail

The number of e-mail accounts that are included at no additional charge varies by plan. You can however, request addtional e-mail accounts with any of the plans at $ .50 each per month.

CGI-bin/Perl

CGI is the abbreviation for Common Gateway Interface. This is an interface standard which provides a common method of running a server-side executable program, or script, from a web site to generate dynamic content. Scripts that conform to this standard can be written in any language that produces an executable file. They are usually written in Perl, C/C++, Python, or TCL. One example of this type of script would be a Hit Counter.

CGI-bin, is the most common name of a directory on a web server in which CGI programs are stored. The 'bin' part of 'cgi-bin' is a shorthand version of 'binary', because once upon a time, most programs were referred to as 'binaries'. In real life, most programs found in cgi-bin directories are text files -- scripts that are executed by binaries located elsewhere on the server. While most programs using CGI are stored in this directory, it is not a requirement for using CGI

PHP

PHP is defined as Hypertext Preprocessor, (Personal Home Page) or (P-H-P). PHP started out as a wrapper around the Perl language. At that time PHP stood for Personal Home Page. Today the acronym really does not stand for anything specific. Basically, PHP is a server-side scripting language for HTML. You can use it to add dynamic features to HTML pages or use it to create entire dynamic sites that generate HTML on the fly in response to user input. Its syntax is a combination of C, Java, and Perl.

ASP

ASP (Active Server Pages) is a server-side scripting language in which commands are embedded with regular HTML to provide dynamic content. ASP is generally found on an NT server.

OsCommerce

Create online stores with OsCommerce, an open source e-commerce solution. Encryption is included to protect Credit Card transactions.

MySQL

MySQL is a freely available third-party SQL (Structured Query Language) database engine designed to provide fast access to stored data. Data can be stored, updated and deleted using languages such as PHP. The data can be retrieved from the database to allow the generation of dynamic webpages.

Coldfusion

ColdFusion is a programming language based on standard HTML that is used to write dynamic webpages. ColdFusion enables you to incorporate live data into dynamically created web pages. For example, with ColdFusion your online store can actually deal with real-time inventory levels, enabling you to notify your customers of any out of stock items.

Anti-Spam

Anti-Spam software is included with the e-mail server in the Plans indicated.

Anti-Virus

Anti-Virus software is included with the e-mail server in the Plans indicated.

phpBB

PhpBB is a fully scalable and a customisable bulletin board package with a user-friendly interface, a simple administration panel, and helpful FAQ.

Server

Operating System for the server for the Plans indicated.

Monthly Rate

We bill monthly on the 1st of each month for the current months service. In order to keep our cost down, we do not accept credit cards at this time but will accept company checks with your invoice.

Customized Plans

We offer low cost hosting plans as well as we can add components to your plan such as additional Storage or Traffic to better fit the growth of your business if required. Contact us for a quote.

We currently provide Web Hosting for our clients or small business owners within Redding, Mt. Shasta, Weed, Yreka, Scott Valley, Ashland and Medford only.
